Making the case for wit in design

A Smile in the Mind is a creative philosophy and the title of a seminal design book exploring ‘witty thinking’ – humour, irony, playfulness – in design and branding. It stands for playfulness with ideas, lateral leaps and unexpected connections that cut through, capture attention and create lasting impressions.

Our ECD, Greg Quinton, the great mind behind the new edition of A Smile in the Mind, soon to be published by Phaidon, will be sharing the case for wit in design at a networking event, hosted by the Marketing Director Network on 25 November. He will be joined by his co-author Nick Asbury and John Pearce, CEO of Made in Britain, who will demonstrate how A Smile in the Mind’s approach helps businesses succeed.
